Back in 1978, when Gilbert Baker (1951-2017) designed the Rainbow Flag, little did he realise it's future impact and what it would come to symbolise. In his own words "We needed something to express our joy, our beauty, our power. And the rainbow did that" Over the weekend cities around the world celebrated World Pride.
